Mater Divinae Gratie is a handbag brand rooted in the vibrant city of Puebla, Mexico. It's recognized for its bold reinterpretation of Baroque style. The brand specializes in handbags that meld the opulence and drama of Baroque art with modern functionality, offering customers a unique visual and aesthetic experience.
The identity design concept is rooted in the maximalism characteristic of Baroque art. This artistic movement, known for its extravagance, intricate detail, and emotional depth, is reflected in every design of the brand. Mater Divinae Gratie handbags are not just accessories but portable art pieces that capture the essence of Baroque in a contemporary form.
We developed the brand's visual identity and the product design for the first bag collection. Using unique prints that are collages of Baroque Catholic paintings, carefully selected images include religious figures, angels, and iconic scenes from the period, intertwined with golden and floral elements creating a vibrant contrast that is both elegant and striking.
